The staff at the salon can communicate in basic English, but you are welcome to use a translator if you want to express your preferences more specifically.

Our Visit
AM: TON is a short 8 minute walk from Exit 1 of Hongik University Station! There are three stores, all with stylists that have thousands of followers on Instagram! AM: TON is known for having highly talent designers and known for their skill. 
When you enter the store, you will tell the receptionist that you reserved! Give them your name and the time you had reserved for.
They will lead you down the steps to the main area of the salon! It was quite a mysterious looking staircase and was an interesting way to enter the store!
There is a locker room where the staff will take your jacket, bag and personal items. Then they will lock it away in one of the lockers and give you a salon gown to wear!
Both of the 1st and 2nd floor have a cut zone, a color zone, and a shampoo stand. The interior is very spacious and very well organized! We were pleasantly surprised.
We were guided to the second floor so that they could start on my hair!
My stylist's name was Saena and we had a quick consultation about what hair we wanted to do and what the current trends were in Korea! I wanted something that was not too flashy but still very trendy.
We decided to try out highlights! This is a really popular hairstyle in Korea right now and also a great way to just add a change to your look and style without having to cut or change your whole hair style completely.
They were very careful and detailed, making sure to apply the bleach on little by little and covered it with a foil.
One of the hardest things about getting your hair bleaches is the waiting process! However, at AM: TON we did not even realize time was passing by as the staff kept us very occupied by offering us drinks, outlets, magazines and wifi! We even saw some people working on their laptops while getting their hair done!
Also when the battery of my phone ran out, the staff gave us a charger! There were various types of ports and cords so you do not have to worry about bringing a charger or cord beforehand.
After checking on the status of my hair, the next step was to shampoo. There are shampoo stands on both the 1st and 2nd floor so you are not required to move between the floors.
This is what it looked liked after the bleaching process! We wanted to have the bleaching process look as natural as possible so the stylist bleached them in very fine intervals. We loved how detailed they were!
Next, we had to decide on what color the highlight should be. We received a through consultation of the highlight colors available, how the color would face and details regarding the whole process and aftercare required!
They applied the whole cover and we waited for a while for the dye to seep in.
Afterwards we shampooed and the color was revealed! We liked the natural highlight look, just as we had asked for! They also gave us a treatment for bleached and colored hair and a head massage as the scalp had gone through a lot through the bleaching and dyeing.
They finished the whole treatment by cutting the damaged parts of the hair without changing the length too much! It felt good to get the split ends and damaged ends cut off without compromising too much length.
After cutting, they will style your hair with a curling iron! We were very satisfied with the way that it ended up coming out.

After exiting from Hongik University Station Exit 1, turn right.
Pass in front of Shoopen and go straight.
After crossing the pedestrian crossing, turn right.
At the second turn, when you see the Seoul Public Bikes, turn left.
Enter the third narrow alley and go straight for a few minutes.
You will get to a big white building, which is the shop.
