Awesome place for a Hanok experience. The room was on the smaller side but it was equiped with everything one could need. We've gotten a room facing the local library which was lovely both for the view and the extra shadow. It's a amazing localization right in the heart of Hanok village but hidden enough for a peaceful sleep.

Really comfortable and peaceful place. The experience of sleep in a hanok, sleep in a futon with ondol system for warm floor was amazing. The price was so cheap compared with an hotel. It is inside a touristic area, with many places to buy food really close.

Hanok Village traditional small accommodation. Interesting experience sleeping on warm heated floor w no furniture. Clean en suite bathroom. Courtyard style.

Gaeunchae has a great location in the Hanok village, with many historical attractions, shops and famous restaurants within walking distance. The host was helpful and responsive via WhatsApp (in English), and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. The hot water in the shower was great. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful. Definitely an affordable way to experience staying in a hanok.
What I did not really enjoy about the experience was that the air-con was dripping quite a lot of water when it was turned on, and the room and toilet are rather small. Those not comfortable with sleeping on hard surfaces will likely find sleeping on the futon quite uncomfortable.

Rooms are small. Roughly, two double beds will fill up the room completely. Maybe even smaller..
There was no service at all. You need to get towels from the laundry room in the yard. Tow small yards. Grunt yard is little bigger with a couple is chairs and s table. This is the smoking area.
It's located in the middle of the Korean village.
